Hawaii born chef Colin Yoshimoto is the Chef/co-owner of Eem, the acclaimed Texas-meets-Thai BBQ restaurant in Portland, OR. Both the Oregonian and Portland Monthly crowned EEM as restaurant of the year in 2019. The New York Times placed EEM in “The Restaurant List” of 2021 as one of the 50 places in America they were most excited about. Previous to EEM, Colin has spent time working under praised chef Ryan Roadhouse of Nodoguro and was the director of operations for 4 years at Nong’s Khao Man Gai, the famous Thai chicken and rice empire in Portland. Colin finds true reward in guiding a team of passionate and dedicated cooks eager to learn, from which he also learns, and remains inspired by each and every day.
