From the beginning of her career at Brennan’s of Houston, to her time at Chicago’s Spiaggia and now at her own restaurant, she creates all her food to be big bowls of love. She is the runner-up on “Top Chef: Texas” and “Iron Chef Gauntlet” and the 2017 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Great Lakes. After opening, Monteverde was named one of Food & Wine’s “America’s Best Restaurants,” Eater’s "21 Best New Restaurants in America,” and GQ’s “12 Best New Restaurants".
