Chef Vaidas Imsha spent his childhood years in Lithuania before moving to Chicago as a teenager. Around that time, Vaidas got involved in restaurants and began what would become a lifelong obsession with food. Following a stint in Seattle to pursue his interest in seasonal flavors and farm-to-table cuisine, Vaidas moved to Austin, where in 2017 he began work at Uchi. He is currently Uchi’s Executive Sous Chef and is excited for the opening of Uchiba Austin!
